Atelier №1 — Florence
Italy · Est. 1978Three generations of leatherworkers. They cut, stitch, and burnish every piece of leather we ship — by hand, on workbenches their grandfathers built.
Korkings began with a quiet frustration: that "luxury" had become loud, fast, and disposable. We started in 2018 with three pieces, three ateliers, and a single rule — make things that earn their place. Six years later, the rule still holds.
Every fiber and hide we use is certified — by GOTS, by Leather Working Group, by mill, by farm. We will never make a piece we can't trace back to the field it came from.
We make exactly what we sell. Our pieces are never marked down, because they were never marked up. The price you see is the price they cost to make well.
Stitches loosen. Soles wear through. Linings fray. Send your piece back to us — at any age — and we'll repair it free of charge. The same hands that made it will make it again.
"We're not trying to make more. We're trying to make better, fewer times. The best compliment we get is when a piece outlives its purchase."
— Theo Marchetti, Founder
Family-run workshops, none larger than thirty hands, all chosen for craft over scale.

A 200-year-old wool mill on the foot of the Alps. Where our topcoats and knits are spun, woven, and tailored — the same way they have been for two centuries.
A small eyewear workshop in the Sabae region — where 95% of the world's premium frames are made. Hand-polished acetate, titanium hinges, a process that takes 200 steps.
"Korkings has quietly become the standard for what modern essentials should be — restrained, considered, and built to be lived in for years."
